and the blue of the sky in darkness

Manuela Marques’ pictures question, surprise, and create a strong relationship with the object pictured. Without dismissing reality, the photographer and videographer summons an observed, transformed, re-enchanted version of nature.


Invited by the Musée de Lodève to work on their collections, Manuela Marques was overwhelmed by the barren sceneries of the Causses. Levitating stones, cut flowers… by cleverly using mirrors, she invites us to marvel at the zero-gravity cosmos she has created.
